Eleven-year-old child prodigy Huey Carson may not be old enough to vote, but he’ll be learning about politics and much more at Texas Christian University.
The 4-foot-7 student has always been above average. He graduated as co-valedictorian from private school when he was 10-years-old, which comes as no surprise since he was reading by the time he was 2. The young scholar scored a 1770 on his ACT and also speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese.
He even wowed the administration during his admissions interview by playing Beethoven’s “Ode to Joy” on the piano. He actually had a little trouble getting into college, not because of his academic skills but because the system used for the application forms couldn’t recognize his age (the system does not accept applications from potential students born before 2002)!
Carson is determined to earn his Ph.D. in physics and wants to do research to “discover something huge that will impact our way of life and better our planet,” according to his mom.
Congrats Huey and good luck in college!
