Elliot Howsie may be only 9-years-old, but his ability to tell stories has impressed readers everywhere.
After reading basketball player Amar’e Stoudemires’ book “STAT: Standing Tall and Talented,” Elliot was inspired to write his very own book. His book titled, “Life Is Too Short To Be Scared,” features quotes and testimonies from many well-known celebrities such as actor Morris Chestnut, actress Aunjanue Ellis, singer Chris Brown and radio/tv personality Jacques Reid. The fourth grade student wrote the book to help promote arts and education at his elementary school.
Elliot lives on Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with his parents Yolanda and Elliot Howsie Jr. and his little brother, Evan. When he isn’t busy putting pen to paper, Elliot enjoys playing sports and drawing. He would like to be a professional basketball player when he grows up, and leave a legacy behind.
