Young actor/model Jaden Martin is quickly rising to the top. He currently has three new films under his belt including “Reach Me,” “Mr.Monster” and the new film starring Jaden and Will Smith, “After Earth.” He has also appeared on the hit TV series “All My Children” and “How To Rock.” Jaden’s career took off when he moved to Los Angeles and began landing modeling jobs from the beginning. He has been featured in ads for large retailers such s Target, Kohl’s and Mattel. One of his latest acting gigs, the post-apocalyptic film “After Earth,” is already creating a huge buzz. In the film Jaden plays Jaden Smith’s character, Kitai, at 9-years-old. The folks at Screen Invasion got a chance to sit down with Jaden Martin and talk to him about “After Earth,” working with the star-studded cast and more. Check out the highlights below.
On his character, Young Kitai Raige:
Young Kitai is a scared 9-year-old kid at the time, and is the younger Jaden Smith in the movie. He is afraid of the Ursa and his sister protects him, but as he grows up he learns to be a ranger like his father (Will Smith). I could tell you more, but I don’t want to spoil it!
On working with the legendary cast:
It was really cool because they are all famous for acting, and working with them was awesome because they were so talented. Will Smith was very funny and was always cracking jokes on set, Sophie was very professional, and my sister Zoe was really great at getting into character.
Fun facts about himself:
Well I love to skateboard and I just brought a new custom penny board for my birthday! I also love to hang out with my friends and do trampoline and acrobats, practice mixed martial arts, and draw. When I’m not busy, I am a big movie watcher; I go to all the new movies when they come out. My favorite movie currently is “Iron Man 3”.
